Business problem

  • Is the problem clear?
  • What does the business want to be different?
  • Is there a business champion?

Opportunity, access and mandate

  • Will they get the chance?
  • Do they have what they need?
  • Are they allowed to change the work?

Manager commitment

  • Are managers enrolled?
  • How will they be enabled?
  • Who holds them accountable?

Behaviour and habit

  • Who does what differently?
  • When will they do it?
  • What’s the smallest version?

Evidence and adjustment

  • Did it happen? Who checks?
  • Did it help?
  • What will we change?

How to use it

Three steps, one priority.

Step 1

Pick one priority

  • Start with the business problem, not the training.
  • Fill in block 01 before anything else.
Step 2

Work the blocks

  • Go through 02 to 05 with the people who own the priority.
  • Answer every question. A blank is a risk.
Step 3

Test it against a real week

  • Walk it through Monday to Friday. Where does it break?
  • Fix the blocks that broke first.
